Black and White series

I have always been interested in what happens to form when combined with the elements of time. I believe that everything in the universe is affected by time and time is always in a state of transition.

Timescape<br />
<br />
In this drawing called "Timescape" I tried to capture the essence of related time. According to Einstein, a person who is flying in outer space is traveling at a faster rate of speed than a person on earth. The painting deals with graphic elements that mean slow and fast. In the upper part the dominant shapes are organic, while on the bottom the shapes are horizontal and rectangular.

  • The Creator<br />
<br />
I asked the question, “You are the creator, so what do you see?” There is a lot of blackness and orbs floating around in this space. We know there is dark matter pushing these planets apart. The smallest part of it is called photons, which go between the planets activating them. If you wanted to create the ability for humans to re-create themselves, you would use the same structure only call them eggs and sperm.
  • The Magic S<br />
<br />
In my reading I discovered that the great artist Goya drew his name all over the blank canvas. He then used parts of his name to develop the painting. We are all given a name at birth and use it throughout our life. How many people are looking at that scene with your name? You always wanted a personal image... why wait until you finish the work? Sign it at the beginning and keep signing it throughout your life.
  • Spanish Rider<br />
<br />
This drawing deals with the element called dark matter. If it is true that the planets are moving away from each other and something is pushing them apart, then how do we really look? How does the landscape really look? I took the famous painting by El Greco called "The View of Toledo" and imagined it being pushed down. As it began to appear it also took the shape of the upper torso and arm of a human being.
  • Stem Cell<br />
<br />
I believe that all art should represent the time in which it was done. Today we benefit from medical science. One short century ago we were dying at the age of 40. Today we live until 80 and beyond. One of the elements that was recently discovered is the stem cell. In this work I present the shapes of our cells which form the image of man. On the bottom are two legs and above them is the pelvis and ribcage, all of which are constructed out of the images of stem cells.
  • Reflected Waves<br />
<br />
Sometime ago I read about two professors from Russia who had taped the voices of the spirit world. The professors asked the spirits, “Do we look like animals when they die?” Their answer was, “No, you look like waves.” Having studied the world of auras for many years, I became excited. Humans are 70 percent liquid, so we can make the case that humans possess the ability to produce electric waves. In the center of the painting is an egg shape (which is our creation) and spinning out of the egg from all sides are the waves.
  • Sensitivity<br />
<br />
Sometime ago I read that science had invented a new machine that recorded the sensitivity of the human skin. The nose was the most sensitive area, and then the forehead, and then the inner arm. Each part was also given a number ranking. What was interesting to me was that the feet were the least sensitive and therefore numbered 250. I then incorporated the pinup of our time with numbers.
  • Origins<br />
<br />
The symbol of the universe in our century is called the Cabali. I had read somewhere a word that sounded similar and it was Kaballah. On the lower left is the symbol of the Cabali and on the lower right is the symbol for the Kaballah. Above is a head of an artist who used the symbols of the Kaballah in his work.
  • 9th Month<br />
<br />
The number nine represents creation. It is nine months from creation to birth. In the painting called "The Primavera" by Botticelli there are nine figures. Furthermore, the geometry of the work is divided into 4/2/3 units. In the four area are four figures, in the two area there are two figures, and of course there are three figures in the three area. Those figures in this drawing are enclosed in the globe shape. The painting is a theater (as shown by the curtains on the bottom), and a large head is looking out at you.
  • Europa's Dance<br />
<br />
Of all the planets in our universe, the most interesting to me it is “Europa.” It has much liquid on its surface, and where there is liquid there is the possibility of life. The planet is dancing in my imagination. The painting that came later has two verticals at three units, two units, and four. To me this represents the 3/4 time of the waltz.
